What would you buy if your job gave you $500 a year for things that make traveling for them more comfortable?

I’m excited to be starting a new job at a place that gives me 0 a year in traveling allowances to buy stuff to make travel a little bit more comfortable since I’m on the road a lot. The items have to be justifyable that they make traveling more comfortable. Example – Travel Pillow, MP3 Player, IPOD, Leather Briefcase/laptop bag, Bose Headphones, etc.

Also, a PSP or a Nintendo DS would count as a justifyable expense (play on plane) but an XBOX 360 obviously would not.

One thing I’m considering getting is a set of webcams so I can see my kids’ projects they might come home with from time to time while I’m on the road. But I’m having trouble deciding on what else.

So my question is, what would you pick?

Cute gift for boyfriend?

Our anniversary is coming up, and I’m on spring break right now (I’m a teacher). We love making each other nice, simple presents, and being on spring break leaves me with lots of free time! I love to sew, especially to embroider, and I’ve already made him a travel pillow with some lyrics embroidered on it for another occasion. What other ideas do you have? I want to make him something that he could use (no frilly pillows with pouporri or anything).

Suggestions for a hospital gift?

A friend’s wife will be in and out of the hospital for the next few months. For Christmas, we want to get them things that will be useful. So far we’ve come up with a nice travel pillow for him, some magazines, puzzle books, and for her we’re thinking a robe and some cozy socks. Any other suggestion?

Has anyone else experienced a really annoying, dull, lower backache during the first week or so of pregnancy?

If so, what have you done to relieve it? I have a desk job, so unfortunately have to sit a lot. I’ve been taking Tylenol and bought a travel pillow to put behind my back, but those are no longer helping! Any other ideas??

Chicago Greyhound Bus Station Lockers?

I’m planning a daytrip to Chicago by taking a greyhound and the drive is like 6 hours. I want to bring like a small travel pillow and some just in case things, like a cellphone charger, but I don’t want to carry them around all day. Do they have locker rentals in the stations?
