Slept without my pillow underneath my neck…having neck and shoulder problems?

Two nights ago i slept without my pillow underneath my neck,for some reason it was more comfortable.But when i woke up,i wasnt comfortable at all.I couldnt turn my neck to the right because it hurt the right side of my neck and part of my upper back.At the end of the day,the pain faded but i couldnt sleep on the right side of my neck last night.When i woke up this mroning,the pain was even greater and with one little turn to the right,i felt like screaming because it hurt so bad.So i have been switching off with the heating pad and ice pack all day long and when i walk,i kinda tilt my head to the left just so it wont hurt.It feels comfortable that way.But now im really scared because i cannot keep my head straight and my right shoulder is lower than my left naturally.How can i fix this?Im scared!help!

What pillow would be best for me? Allergies and bad neck…?

I had had the "perfect" sleep situation (for the last 10 years)… I had a wonderful buckwheat hull u-shaped pillow coupled with a thin head pillow… I had no problems, really… Except that I couldn’t seem to sleep on any other pillow, my neck hurt way too much. Now, my two buckwheat hull u- shaped pillows were pretty dirty and bad off (seeing as how I’d had them for 10 years!)… and, not having too high hopes for their recovery, I put water on them and then they got mildewed and I threw them away… I had gotten them from Cracker Barrel, they had a cotton flannel cover…

Since then, I have purchased two buckwheat hull pillows (wastage of money, because I started sneezing from the smell of the buckwheat hulls in the pillows) (I know it makes little sense seeing as how I was fine with it before)… I’ve had a memory foam pillow and this worked great for my neck but the smell would like to have killed me and my eyes were flaring (I have an inflammatory condition in my eyes)… I also am allergic to most anything other than cotton…

Anyone happen to have any ideas as to another pillow which can support my neck and not be made of most anything other than cotton or if there is a buckwheat hull pillow that might work (not cause sneezing)… (I’m a neck, back, and side sleeper)…

Pillow suggestions?? Have too much neck pain need new pillow?

So here is my problem. I wake up almost every day from some kind of neck pain. My pillow sucks I know that. One is too big the other is so flat no support but I’m just not sure what to look for. I sleep in so many ways sometimes on my side on my stomach and on my back. It’s a pain but I just move a lot in my sleep. So I’m looking for something that will give me some support, I probably spend more time on my back and on my sides though just fyi. I’m looking at tempurpedics but not sure which one to go for so any suggestions would be really great I’m just looking for some input! Thanks so much!

in australia can any1 recomend a pillow so i stop waking with a sore neck?

ive tried 1 pillow, 2 pillows , no pillow, is there a miracle pillow that will give me a good night sleep, and no sore neck, please?

Toddler beds for airplane travel?

Does anyone know of any travel beds that will fit on the floor of the bulkhead seats on airplanes? Or have any suggestions of what I can use besides blankets and pillows? I am going to be taking a 10 hour flight and although my daughter is already two and will have a seat, I would like for her to have more room and get better sleep. I have seen mothers lay their child on the floor on blankets and I am hoping I can find something that will make the hard floor more comfortable for her. Thank you!

Is there a neck pillow that can help me sleep at night?

I can’t really fall asleep so I was thinking about getting a new pilow. I was thinking about a memory foam pillow or something like that. Does anyone know of one that might help me sleep. My neck does sometimes hurt but not even close enough to make me not want to go to sleep. Does anyone know one a pillow that might help me sleep? and I usually drink water so caffenine is not an issue.

What is the best way to help neck pain, especially at night when sleeping?

I’ve been having a lot of pain in my neck and was wondering the best way to help it at night when I’m sleeping. I sleep on my side or stomach mostly. I am unable to sleep on my back. I thought about buying one of those neck pillows, but I’m not sure I’d be comfortable. Any recommendations? Also, I don’t want to spend a fortune!
I went to the chiropractor today. I will get my x-ray results Tuesday, however, I would like a cheaper alternative that I can do on my own.

at what age did you first give your child a pillow to sleep with?

im just curious. i know there is a risk of cot death in young infants with pillows. but my son is almost 14 months old and can crawl stand and is well able to move. during the day i put him to sleep in a playpen/travel cot and it has a pillow in it and he sleeps so well. but at the same time i am always there in the same room as him while he is sleeping with the pillow. i want to know how long i have to wait before i can out one in his cot?? thanks in advance:)

Pillow for neck pain?

3 times in 5yrs I have woken up with a neck pain that gets gradually worse and I have been bed-ridden for up to 3 days. I think it is the way I sleep. I would like to know what pillow is good for keeping your neck straight whilst in bed. There are so many to choose from I have no idea, HELP!
