What is the best bedding?
Sleeping is 1/3 of the average human life. If I’m going to spend that much time sleeping, it should be quality. What are the very best pillow, sheet type, comforter, mattress, etc.? What are some general tips for choosing these? I hear more thread count is better for sheets, but what should pillows and matresses be stuffed with? For example, is Tempurpedic better than goose down?

Is tempur-pedic a comfortable mattress? Any others?
I spent 00 on a pillow top mattress. I was looking for a very soft one and at the store it felt soft, but my goodness I can’t sleep comfortably. I can feel the springs poking against my body, stopping circulation and tossing and turning all night long. What a waste of money!!
I’m thinking it might be worth it to buy yet another new mattress just because I can’t sleep and feel tired in the mornings. I was watching a tempurpedic commercial, are those really the best mattresses? Have you tried them before? Do you know how much a queen size would cost? Or what do high end hotels use?
I just need something that’s really soft and comfortable and not firm at all.

Tempurpedic owners: do your fitted sheets slip?
I own a Tempurpedic Celebritybed, which is the one with the extra pillow-top on it, and I have noticed that no matter how deep of a fitted sheet I put on it, the sheet comes off one corner every night. No matter what I do, the sheet comes undone, but only on that one corner, and only in one direction. I heard it has something to do with the cashmere top and the direction of the fabric, but how do I stop this from happening? It makes it a pain in the butt to make the bed every morning.

which tempur-pedic pillow is best for me?
I am going to buy a tempur-pedic pillow later today and I wasn’t sure which one I should get. I almost always sleep on my side (about 95% of the night). I tried out the neck pillow at the store which is designed for side sleepers and it felt pretty good, however, there is a pillow for side-sleepers called the SidePillow. I am not able to try it out since they do not have it on the floors to sample, as I would have to order it and use it.
The pillows are non-refundable so it’s important for me to make the right choice. I need to know any side sleepers who use tempurpedic, and see which one you use (neck pillow or sidepillow. Thanks so much for reading any advice on this will help. Both are so price doesn’t matter.

Really easy poll about the way you sleep?
For science I’m doing this thing. And anyway, I need you to answer a few questions about the way you sleep. They’re really easy.
1: Do you have to sleep with a blanket touching you no matter how hot it is?
2: Do you sleep on a spring or tempurpedic mattress?
3: Do you sleep with socks on or off?
4: If you said off for #3 is it becuase if you do you can’t sleep?
5: Do you sleep with sheets on your bed?
6: Is there more than one blanket on your bed?
7: Is there more than one pillow on your bed?
8: Do you sleep in P.J.s, whatever you were wearing that day, or in the nude?
9: Why?

Neck and shoulder aches……>?
When I wake up in the morning my neck and shoulders are killing me. I have changed my pillows quite a few times (I’m a side sleeper) but nothing seems to work. I changed my bed about 6 months ago to a Tempurpedic one but I still seem to be tossing and turning every night. Can anyone suggest what pillow I might try. Thanks

Lower Back Pain when I wake up?
Every time I wake up, I have severe lower back pain. I am a healthy 30-year old male. When I wake up, I feel like my back has been arched the entire night. Like if I am lying face up, you could slide your hand between my lower back and the mattress. I have tried sleeping with pillow under my knees, but it doesn’t help. I have a Classic (original) Tempurpedic Mattress that is about 1.5 years old.
An hour or 2 after I wake up, the pain and soreness subsides. I don’t like taking many medications or pills. I have been doing lots of stretching, but still does not help that much.
WHAT CAN I DO????

I think I have a pinched nerve or pulled muscle in my back.. HELP please!!?
This morning I was stretching when I felt a sharp pain in the middle of my back. Now I can’t bend or move my neck without pain shooting down my neck, arm, and back. Sometimes I even wake up with the pain, I guess from sleeping wrong. I get this about once a month and it lasts for several days, but it hurts sooo bad. I am wondering if there is anyone with experience with this and, if so, what can I do to make it better (aside from not stretching) and keep it from happening again? I have a friggin’ Tempurpedic mattress and pillow that doesn’t help. I’ve tried Vicodin, but that doesn’t do very much. I haven’t done anything strenuous lately, either. I do not have insurance or money to go to a Chiropractor – (Come to think of it, I will now put that at the top of my Christmas list!) Please help. I do not want to feel like this on Christmas.
By the way, is it a pinched nerve or a pulled muscle?
Thank you and Merry Christmas!!

When did your baby start stomach sleeping?
It has been a few years since I had this to worry about (my other child is 5) so I need some reassurance here. My 7 month old has just started rolling onto her stomach to sleep and pushing her face down. We were playing earlier tonight and she was doing what she is now doing in her sleep. At 7 months she has good head control– but it’s still freaky. When did your babies start doing this? We use a Tempurpedic so I am not particularly worried about softness of the mattress. She also uses a Tempurpedic neck support pillow that she has used since about 2.5 months when we started using it to elevate her head during a virus. So again– the question: when did your baby start doing this? How did you handle it? We have used bolsters to position her until now, but i think that time is over based on her mobility. Thanks!
Adrian<3: how do you keep them from rolling over? She has been moving from back to side for several months now, but how do you keep them from rolling?

Whiplash + Tempur Pedic= neck pain?
I was in an accident & acquired some whiplash at the same time our Tempurpedic was delivered. It’s been back & forth, but over a year & I can’t relieve it. I’ve tried 6 different pillows w/ no luck. The doc says it’s muscular, but I don’t remember my 3rd vertibrae extruding before. Is it the mattress, habits, or what?! It hurts everyday & get’s on my nerves. I’m more up for ‘eastern’ medicine, any thoughts?
