Neck Pillow

Is it better to sleep on one pillow or two following a neck injury? How can I alleviate this intense pain?

I was literally dropped on my head when I slipped out of my partner’s grasp during a suicide drop in dance, and though I fell on a padded mat, it still caused a lot of pain in my neck from the impact. I’ve dealt with enough injuries in the past to know when I need to see a doctor, and this isn’t severe enough to warrant it, but icing and heating it haven’t helped. I can’t turn my head to the right fully, and it hurts like crazy to lift my arm. I have finals this week and so I can’t take painkillers. I thought you were supposed to sleep on one pillow after a neck injury but my friend is insisting I should sleep on two. What else can I do to alleviate the pain?

my boyfriend has upper neck and back pain, could it be his pillow or the bed? and what can he do to sleep?

he works with computers so he’s always lifting them. He recently bought a new pillow but that didnt work. and the bed that he sleeps in is old. He got a massage and that worked for a couple of days i think and then it started hurting again.

What is the best pillow for neck pains?

Im 15 and every time I wake up my neck kills me. I sleep on my side and I have noticed I tilt my head back when I sleep. Does anyone know a good pillow that will help reduce this pain?
I have a memory foam pillow where it curved in the middle so it makes to bumps on the end of it, but its really stiff.

Neck Pillow for Neck Pain Relief

A neck pain pillow can help relieve and avoid neck pain. Cervical pillows used for sleeping provide ergonomic support for your head and neck which in turn has other benefits for your health.

For one thing, because your head and neck are supported correctly by a pillow designed to relieve neck pain, the surrounding muscles are able to relax. Often that relaxation is all that is needed to reduce to the pain. Without the pains associated with cervical spine ailments, you are able to sleep better and hence, you will wake up more refreshed.

Another reason supportive neck pillows are good for you is that the correct positioning they provide your head and neck also helps position your airways properly. Unrestricted airways will allow easier breathing and may reduce snoring.

A neck pain pillow also can enhance your blood circulation because of their ability to help muscles relax. Blood flows easier through relaxed muscles and so blood circulation is improved.

The benefits mentioned above assert that neck pain pillows provide other benefits to the body besides reducing pain. You may be quite surprised of the overall improvement to your health if you use a neck pain pillow on a regular basis.
