Will a teddy bear or a neck pillow count as a carry on?
I will take a laptop bag and a purse on the plane.
Can I bring my teddy bear and one of those plane neck ring pillow things? Or will those have to count?

Take it all! Why not get a small rolling carry-on that you can put your purse, plus a lot more in? A pillow, reading materials, small bag of food do NOT count towards your items. I usually fly with a small rolling bag plus a laptop backpack (small purse is in backpack), my folding cane, a small pillow and fleece blanket (I’m no germaphobe but they do NOT change or clean those very often), a few magazines, bag of lunch, PLUS, because we need to carry medicine that has to be refrigerated I carry a soft sided cooler with ice packs. I put the lunch, pillow, blanket, and magazines in an open canvas bag and put it on top of my rolling bag. No issues, EVER!
It shouldn’t be a problem taking everything you listed, but try and squeeze some of those in your purse. Otherwise, you can still try bringing all of it.
Have a great trip!
