How to Travel with my pet snake?
I am going to Michigan from SC for about a month and i have a 4 ft hog island boa constrictor….I would like to take him with me because i can’t find anyone to take care of it while i’m gone. I’m gonna drive there and the car ride is 12 hrs. Its summer time as you know so its gonna be really hot, how would you suggest i travel with the snake? i was told i can put him in a cloth bag/pillow case and set the bag in a rubbermaid container. but my question is how would i keep him warm during the car ride? or since its summer time do i really need to worry about that?
Pillow case and a cooler with a drain.
Insure that here are no holes in the pillow case.
You place your boa in the pillow case and tie then place in the cooler with the drain hole open.
This will keep her secure and at a comfortable temperature. If necessary you can use a heat or cool pack.
I would avoid feeding her with in 4 days of leaving or arriving. So if her normal feeding schedule would fall in that time frame just skip it.
