if i put a pillow under my neck and head, would it hurt to do sit ups and crunches on the floor?
since everytime i try to do crunches n sit ups on the floor i put a pillow under my neck n head. it feels better. is it the same effect of doing crunches n sit ups on the floor w/ a pillow

My guess would probably be no. See, you wouldn’t be getting the same range of motion. On the other hand, you are saving your head.
Do you just do your stuff on the floor or do you have a mat?
For effectiveness, again guessing, I’d say get a good mat instead. But, I have yet to find a decent one that protects my spine and head well from the hardwood floors so do tell me if you find one.:)
yeah .. i just think that it protects your head lol
sounds like you are straining your neck muscles to do the job of your abs. Put your tongue on the roof of your mouth as you do the crunches and forcefully exhale to neutralize neck muscles.
no it wouldnt I do it all the time
I’m not sure….. but if doing sit ups without a pillow hurts too much than use a pillow. If you can deal without it I would do sit ups normally. If thats too hard take breaks in between reps. Do 15 or twenty and wait 10 seconds before you continue.
no problem, but put a towel under your head, support your head by the towels with your hands…makes crunches seem easier, no stress to the neck muscles…
if u have a pillow, probably not..
