Yes. They will improve almost any mattress. Unless you like sleeping on a rock The only drawback is they do form impressions and have to be replaced every year or two. Still they are worth the money as they improve you sleep. Try to get a good foam wihout paying too much.
I tried a memory foam mattress. For about 6 months it was great. Then it went the same way as a lot of mattresses I’ve had in the past – if you sleep in the middle the bed it never seems to recover, now i find if I sleep on the right or left side, I find myself rolling into the middle following the (new) natural contours of the mattress…
I don’t care for foam because I’ve seen it deteriorate and become powdery. I have a water bed which I highly recommend. I also like feather pillows and quilts.
Too hard for me. It was like lying on my living room floor, and I can’t fall asleep on something that hard. I got instant comfort with the pillow-top one I bought instead.

I’d really like to know this too. Your talking about the tempur mattresses and pillows which were originally developed by the space program right?
