I have fibromyalgia and with it comes severe neck an head pain. The are two pillows that I can use. First is the supreme Tempur-Pedic Pillow. It is very pricey
but you can find the same pillows still in the box on e-bay. That is where I got mine.
The other pillow is not so expensive and has helped my neck a lot too. It is a buckwheat filled pillow. I know that sounds crazy. But it doesn’t get hot and I can push the buckwheat kernels underneath to the right level for my neck.
The only that I can use is called the "Shape of Sleep" pillow. It does look a bit different from the other orthopedic ones, but it is sculpted so as to youve your neck support while still leaving room for your shoulders.

I hope this helps. I just recently got the tempur-pedic but the Japanese buckwheat pillow is great and it does help tremendously.
Good luck. I know how bad neck pain can be

This is always trial and error.
