Tempur-Pedic Mattress?
I found a tempur-pedic mattress that i’m interested in at a store called Brookestone in the mall. I’m looking at the double (full) size mattress, which is ,199 and I would need the foundation which is another 0. I recently bought a car which drained my whole bank account, and im 16 and work around 23 hours per week, so right now I only have about 0 and i’d have to save up. Are these tempur-pedic mattresses worth it? There is also a 20 year warranty on them and right now they have an offer where you get free shipping and 2 free tempurpedic pillows when you buy a mattress. Let me know if I should go with it or if they arent worth it. Thanks.
Just like any other product that you may purchase for yourself, TempurPedic is a very good quality product, but it may not be the perfect product for you.
Brookstone is an excellent, though pricey store and you can find Temper-Pedic and similar products at a great many other retailers for much less money.
They do have a money back guarantee, which is either sixty or ninety days, but you should look at other furniture and bedding stores to compare prices. There are stores such as Americas Mattress and Mattress Discounters.
In the Northeast there is a furniture store called Bobs and they sell a product called the Bobby Bear which is their own version of the Tempur-pedic at about half of the price. Same identical materials just not the world know brand. Bobs product has a lifetime warranty.
I own several of the Temper-pedic pillows, but the bed wasn’t the right choice for my home, I have friends that adore theirs.
Please do some more research before you save up and spend money that you could be saving toward your education or putting into a bank cd or money market account for your future.
Good quality beds and bedding is important, it deserves as much research as choosing a car or another major purchase.
You sound like a dedicated and hard working young person, so you should continue to make good decisions for yourself.

Check out other mattress stores – we went to Mattress Firm and had a no interest payment plan over about 1 year.

I personally suggest a sleep number bed, they are the best, offer a 30 day in home trial. You cant go wrong, if your gonna spend money on a bed, make it a sleep #, not a temp.
Don’t have an answer on if these are worth it or not. But if you still want one after others answer here’s a couple of additional thoughts. Brookstone is probably THE most expensive place you could buy one of these. Shop around. Also, check out futons. I find this the most comfortable of any mattress but they are definitely not for everyone. They are in your price range however.
Yes, they are definitely worth it. You can get them on credit, too, with a tryout period usually of two months before having to make payments. If you get one, though, do it through the company itself.

I paid over 2 grand for my king set and after 1 week I hated it. so I moved it to the downstairs bed room, which is the guest bed room, then went out paid 800.00 for a king with pillow top and I love it. Don’t waste your hard earned money…
Since you’re young yet, I would suggest not spending so much and getting one of those foam toppers that you can put on your existing mattress. They come in different thicknesses and are awesome. Almost as good as the real thing but at a fraction of the cost!
