We just purchased two new memory foam pillows and love them, they’re TempSoma. They came with their own zipper cover – but in addition to that we put allergen barrier zippered covers on them right away, then pillowcase over the top. I’m not sure those pillows are washable though.
The allergy barrier cover and the pillow itself should be steamed cleaned. The cotton quilted cover that covers both the above can be put in with your whites.
Sorry, the memory foam is not washable.
Using a waterproof cover and then covering it with a pillow case should protect it from getting dirty.
If it’s bad now, get a new one and protect it.
