is it normal to sleep on a tempur-pedic pillow and your neck hurts?
I bought a 30 dollar foam pillow from WalMart hoping that it would help my shoulder pains. Well for the first 3 days, its taken awhile for me to get to sleep(maybe because im just getting used to it?), when i wake up my neck feels like a little bit of pain(like it just needs to get ‘poped’ and everything would be okay). i didn’t know if its normal or if i need to see a doctor! thanks kbai!

Once you have neck pain it isn’t going to matter if what kind of pillow you sleep on or what kind of bed, the problem will still be there until you release what is causing the pain in the first place. And that is the muscles in your neck. They are pinched or very tight and until they are released nothing is going to help. Here is how to release your neck muscles, after which it won’t matter if you use a rock for your head, the pain will be gone:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your head. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. After 45 seconds, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds.
