Salvaging a memory foam pillow that was destroyed by machine washing/drying?
I come home today to find out my mother decided to machine wash my very-expensive-favorite-memory foam pillow! I pull it out of the dryer half wet, only to find that it’s -completely- destroyed.
So what can I do now with these to massive lumps of garbage? Should I just by myself a new (Original cost) pillow and toss the trashed one?

Sorry – but it’s trash now
But on the upside, they are much cheaper now. you can get the exact same pillow for $20 at walmart now. Really, I got a walmart one when I got married for my husband and thought it wouldn’t be as good as my expensive brookestone one, but it was just as good! Sorry about the pillow!
Yep, that is the way to handle it.
Thanks, mom.
If it’s only torn in a few places, you may be able to use one of the spray glues intended for adhering upholstery foams to repair it. But yes, memory foam does not stand up to machine washing, as my husband found out…
