Memory Foam Mattress Top, is this a good Deal?
Right now I am sleeping on a futon with my boyfriend. We are both in our senior year at college, and needless to say, we don’t have a lot of extra money. We went mattress shopping at the beginning of the semester but everything is so expensive, it was pretty overwhelming. I don’t want to buy a cheap mattress because I know I will have it for years, but I can’t imagine buying a 00 mattress right now (even with the payment options… I just dont want to deal with that). So as a temporary solution (We will only be living where we are with this "bed" until May), I thought we should buy a memory foam topper, just to make our "bed" a little more comfortable.
I found a 2" Memory foam topper (comes with 2 pillows also) from Overstock.com (free shipping, yay!)

Do you think this is a good deal, or what else should I do!?
Thanks

I think that is a great idea and a good deal. I have one of these from overstock and it rocks! Plus, once you do purchase a new bed, you can use it there as well.
Check around more–Costco has much better prices then you are looking at.
—a 2inch memory foam topper on a poor mattress would be disappointing for you
– a foam topper on a poor mattress would be ok for a spear room but not every night
—just my opinion
The price for the memory foam topper is fantastic. I have purchased a 2 1/2" topper for my king size bed to extend the use of our current mattresses and found it to be a great investment and it’s much more comfortable for sure. I think you definitely should go for it and order the topper!
That sounds like a good deal to me. Memory foam is sooooooo super wonderful, you’ll love it!
1300 for a mattress is outrageous; unless someone famous slept on it. Foam memory mattresses arent cheaper or as cheap as a standard mattress;like most tv commercials would have u believe. a memory mattress is actually more expensive. if you paid 1300 and it was an overstock you got screwed. you couldve bought a brand new one for that much. now if your wanting save money and have a better quality sleep then a standard mattress is the way to go.
when it comes to your back you dont want a soft cushy mattress you want firm.
Anything is more comfortable than a plain cotton-stuffed futon, and $1,300 is an outrage on any budget. The $70 option you found online can be rolled up and taken with you to use on any mattress, wherever you live. No need to toss it just because you get rid of the futon.
