I know you cannot wash them! I sit outside on my open patio a lot. So while I was sitting, I brought my TP pillows with me, put them on a sheet on chairs. Between pillows and chairs I put some fabric softener sheets. They stayed there for about 2 hours. Then I vaccuumed them. For me, that did it. The smell slowly goes away and it is worth the effort for the comfort. You can do this several times it necessary. Good luck. My husband and company love the pillows, although because of my neck, I have to sleep on a hull Sobakawa pillow.
wash them with baking soda and vinegar. The smell will be gone. Try washing a load of white clothes with baking soda and vinegar no soap. So fresh and so clean, clean.

Hang them outside to air: You’re probably smelling fumes from the packaging and manufacturing.
Good luck!
